Bio

Hi there! My name is Robert Jones. I'm a professional photographer based in Austin, Texas, but more often than not I'm on the road exploring new states, National Parks, and hidden corners of the country.

Inspired by old National Geographic magazines and documentaries, I picked up my mom's Nikon N5005 film camera at age 11 and started seeing the world through a viewfinder for the first time. At age 18, after saving enough money for my first Canon DSLR, I cut my teeth as a professional photographer by freelancing for my hometown newspaper. Today, I'm an awarding-winning photographer with 20 years of experience in commercial shoots, editorial and travel assignments, portraiture, event photography and more

As you can see from my work, I have a passion for the outdoors and travel. Whether it's trail running on the Barton Creek Greenbelt here in Austin, fly fishing for tarpon in Puerto Rico, or exploring National Park, the time I spend outside the office is almost always spent outside.
